OUR PROJECTS
Our organization addresses the needs of adults, usually the elderly suffering from disabilities, physical and/or mental diseases; or adults who lack the mental capacity to manage their own personal and financial affairs and who have no willing or able family members or friends to serve in that capacity. We serve essentially three categories of people including:
1) Those who were competent at one time but due to the onset of a condition (for instance a dementia, stroke, organic brain disease) are no longer competent;
2) Those who were never competent to manage their own affairs (for instance a person born with a developmental disability such as downs syndrome or autism); and
3) Those suffering from a mental illness that renders them unable and unfit to manage their own affairs.
We serve any adult who requires a third party guardian regardless of socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age (although they must be an adult over the age of 18), physical ability and language. We truly are guardians of last resort.
